What is going on?
I am trying to complete four runs of Slay the Spire, a roguelike deckbuilder card game, all at the same time and using all four characters on the same seed. If we wanna be cute, we can use the name We All Climb Together for this challenge (which gives us a fitting acronym of WACT because this concept is wacked). Or use a different, boring name. All Characters Simultaneously or something. I'm not an authority figure.
Why?
Someone in Baalorlord's chat brought this idea up and I do not have enough self-control to prevent my worst impulses.
What are the rules?
♦ The goal is to reach Act 4 while keeping all four characters alive, winning each fight through simultaneous gameplay. This means going for all three keys, but not an actual Heart kill.
♦ "Simultaneous" means playing out each combat keeping the turn counter the same for all characters. If one of them finishes the fight before the others, I will leave that character on the rewards screen.
♦ Selection of floors, store items, non-card rewards, and event options must be uniform across all four characters. Buying items in stores is only allowed with the same slot on all characters (if buying the discounted item, buying the other discounted items on the other characters is required).
♦ That's it, really. Unless I run into something else on the run that should be an obvious rule patch.
What's your actual skill level?
I have obtained all the achievements, though I've only reached Ascension 20 (along with a Heart kill) as Watcher, with the other characters never having reached past Ascension 10. In no uncertain terms, this is an underprepared dork tackling an incredibly difficult challenge.
What's your personal best WACT run?
1/4 on the Act 2 boss, The Champ - won as the Ironclad, was halfway done as the Silent and the Defect, but fell exactly 1 point short of blocking a heavy attack.
